The LIS Cross-National Data Center obtains and harmonizes datasets with income, employment, wealth and demographic information from many countries with high and middle levels of income to allow for cross-national analysis. These data are publicly available in two databases, the Luxembourg Income Study (LIS) Database and the Luxembourg Wealth Study (LWS) Database. As part of Statistics Canada’s partnership with the LIS Cross-National Data Centre, all Canadian researchers have free access to these cross-nationally comparable data sources. For more information on how to access LIS and LWS microdata, visit the LIS Cross-National Data Center in Luxembourg or contact the Centre for Income and Socio-economic Well-being Statistics.
