Overview

A Principal Investigator (PI) is responsible for reviewing expenditure details in their research funds for accuracy and completeness, and must attest to having done this on their Annual Administrative Accountability Report.

My Research On-line (MROL) enables a PI to meet these obligations: The MROL financial reports provide full visibility to expenditure details within research awards and include an electronic tool to mark expenditure details as reviewed. Business Officers have access to a report which allows them to view the review status of research awards linked to researchers in their departments.

Business Officers and Project Managers can view a researcher’s financial reports on MROL. Only the PI, however, who is ultimately responsible for the grant, has access to the on-line review tool. Expense details can be reviewed by month or by grant year-to-date, which is shown as ‘YTD’ on MROL.

For further details, review these step-by-step instructions on how to log into MROL and mark expense details.
