New data included in this release:

• Non-environmental lab full sample (nel_full) -This file includes data for non-environmental laboratory results (e.g. CBC blood panel, chemistry panel) for the full* sample as well as the lab-specific full sample weight (wgt_lab).
• Environmental lab full sample (el_full)1 -This file includes data for environmental laboratory results (e.g. metals and trace elements) for the full* sample as well as the lab-specific full sample weight (wgt_lab).
• Fasted subsample (fast_sub) - This file contains data for a subset of CHMS respondents, namely the selected respondents who fasted for a minimum of 8 hours. The file contains data for insulin, low density lipoproteins (LDL), apolipoproteins A1 and B, and red blood cell fatty acids and its calculated variables as well as a subsample weight.
• Tap water fluoride – person-level (wflp_full)1 -This file contains data for fluoride measured in tap water for the full* sample as well as the lab-specific full sample weight (wgt_lab).
• Tap water fluoride – household-level (wflh_full) -This file contains data for fluoride measured in tap water for each household that participated in the survey, as well as the household-specific weight.
• Environmental subsample (el_sub) -This file contains data for a subset of CHMS respondents that were selected for the environmental main subsample. It includes data for several environmental contaminants in blood or urine as well as a subsample weight.

• Environmental blood subsample (eb_sub) - This file contains data for a subset of CHMS respondents that were selected for the environmental blood subsample. It includes data for chlorinated paraffins as well as a subsample weight.

  Updated data included in this release:

  • Agw_sub - the wgt_am variable on this file has been corrected; this may have a slight impact on estimates if this weight variable had been used previously. However, if the user used the wgt_am from the wgt_am file, there should not be any effect.
  • Clc_full - corrections were made to the non-response codes for the FSF block (no effect on true response values) and two missing variables were added: MED_410 & MED_411
  • Hhd_full & oh_ns - corrections were made to the non-response codes for ETV_005 (the response "Never" had previously been incorrectly coded as non-response) and ALWM_50 (no effect on true response values)

   Although these datasets are not subsamples, a separate weight (wgt_lab) was created for the analysis of the full sample laboratory datasets, because blood and urine samples were not collected in Site 1.
