  • RY 2023 Main changes
    • Only one version of the questionnaire (the short questionnaire is discontinued, and the detailed (long) questionnaire is maintained).
    • Increase of the take-none (TN) strata threshold: units representing 15% or less of the estimated total within each estimation domain (NAICS × geography) are excluded from sample/collection. The previous threshold was 10%.
    • Exclusion of production made outside Canada (aka. Factory less goods manufacturing).
  • RY 2024 Main changes
    • Oversampling of NAICS 311 and 312 because of a cost-recovery agreement with a federal stakeholder.
    • Change of concept:  Exclusion of production made outside Canada (aka. Factory less goods manufacturing) in preliminary 2023, however reverted to include offshore manufacturing in revised 2023.
