The Research Services Office and Procurement Services work through the process of building an equipment budget for a Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) project, as well as processes and considerations for procuring funded equipment. The presentation provides advice on obtaining and using quotes; financial issues and considerations when building the budget spreadsheet (for example, in-kind contributions); and working with Procurement to make budgeted purchases, including the use of advance funding requests.
