Discover how to put the University’s Guideline on engaging and compensating research support workers into practice with confidence. This workshop is designed for both new and experienced researcher administrators and will help you:
- Navigate research support worker categories and make informed decisions about engagement and compensation
- Ensure compliance with funder requirements and University procurement policy
- Strengthen your ability to build a research team by understanding when and how to use the full range of available engagement options
By the end of the session, you’ll be equipped with the information and tools you need to make effective, compliant, and well-supported research staffing decisions.

- Confidently categorize, engage, and compensate research support workers
- Support PIs in preparing accurate funded research budgets that reflect the costs of engaging research support workers
- Maintain compliance with University and Sponsor policies and applicable legislation when engaging research support workers
